I am an experienced trainer and facilitator and have developed workshops in a range of areas from basic campaigning and digital strategy right up to advanced creative facilitation and innovation design. I have a range of "off the shelf" workshops but also regularly adapt these or develop entirely bespoke trainings based on a client's needs.
Introduction to Digital Campaigns and Mobilisation
What is digital mobilisation? How do you create a supporter-centric theory of change? What does it mean to be "people powered"? How do you integrate digital tools and tactics into a campaign?
This workshop introduces the basics of digital campaigning and mobilisation for teams or organisations that have not really engaged with this work previously. Maybe you have run a few petitions through Care2 or Change.org or your own internal system but are unsure about how to fit this in with your regular campaign work or how to get the most impact when you launch an online action.
Length: 1-2 hours. Group size: Up to 20. Location: In person, hybrid or online.
Digital Mobilisation Strategy Deep Dive
This workshop goes beyond the basics of running a decent petition or email-to-target action and looks at how you really embed digital strategy into your campaigning. It is intended for digital practitioners, campaigners and campaign leaders.
Content includes:
- Using data and insights to inform your strategy
- Identifying your audiences
- Understanding your target
- Crafting a supporter centric theory of change
- Developing a supporter journey
- Campaign narrative development
- Tactic, platform and tool selection
- Tracking and data collection
- Social media campaigning
Length: 1 day. Group size: Up to 10. Location: In person or hybrid

Rapid Response Campaigns
We don't always have the luxury of weeks or months to plan and deliver a campaign, so how do you make sure you're ready to seize an opportunity when it is presented? This workshop explores systems and processes you can implement to ensure you're always ready to react (or decide to intentionally not react) in the moment.
Content:
- Hot and cold phases
- Horizon scanning
- Opportunity analysis, evaluation and cost
- Capacity and resources
- Rapid decision making
- Building your sandbox
Length: 1/2 day. Group size: Up to 10. Location: In person or hybrid
Creative Facilitation
There's a persistent myth that some people are creative and others aren't. In my experience of facilitating workshops and teaching creative brainstorming techniques, this is just not true. Everyone is creative, all the time, we often just need to put a framework in place to bring out that creativity. That's what this workshop is all about, teaching you how to bring out the inherent creativity in your teams.
Content:
- Idea development process, the "Double Diamond"
- Creative principles
- Getting into a creative headspace, allowing yourself to play
- Developing focus questions
- Tools for idea generation
- Tools for idea development
- Tools for idea selection
Length: 1 day. Group size: Up to 20. Location: In person or hybrid*
*Whilst this can be run online/hybrid it is much better in person where possible.
Advanced Creative Facilitation
In addition to the 1-day Creative Facilitation workshop, I have developed a series of deep-dives on specific aspects that have been requested in the past. These can be run on their own or in conjunction with the creative facilitation 1-day training. Get in touch to discuss your needs.
